We will be contrasting the reality of these photos with the bright and hopeful Regionalist art of Grant Wood from the same period.
This week 4th grade will be exploring my personal favorite painting of all time: 'Nighthawks' by Edward Hopper. I love the subtle story this painting tells, but what if it told a different even wilder story?
The students will have a blank version of this famous diner on which to draw their own story of 'Nighthawks'.
